Affiliate Marketing - 3 Steps to Online Success
Affiliate marketers are always looking for a successful market that will provide ongoing profits. Affiliate marketing isn’t rocket science, but you do need to have a strategy. It takes proven marketing practices and perseverance.
Many practices that have worked before with online marketing continue to work today. With these top three affiliate marketing tips, you’ll be able to able to increase your sales and excel in the affiliate marketing world online.
Practice #1 - Use unique web pages to promote each product you’re offering. Don’t lump all your products onto the same page or website. Web hosting is not expensive today and it’s better to have one website focused on each product.
Always include a product review on your website. This will help visitors to feel that someone has used the product and believe in it.
Testimonials from customers who have already tried your product should also be included. Ensure that the customers give you their permission to use their photos and names. If you’re just beginning, you should be able to get testimonials from the product owner’s website.
You can also write articles highlighting the use of the product and include them on the website as additional pages. Make the pages attractive, compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the reader to encourage them to read more or even contact you. Highlight the special points of the product.
You can offer free reports to your prospects. Position them at the top side of your web page so they are sure not to miss them. You can use these as autoresponder messages as well and send them to all of the prospects that enter their information in your autoresponder sign up box. Research indicates that a sale is closed on the seventh contact. So, you should always have an autoresponder.
Practice #2 — Only two things can happen when a potential customer visits your web page: either you will make the sale or the prospect will leave the page and likely, never return again. By sending useful information to their email account at certain specified periods, you’ll remind them of the product they may have wanted at a later date. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product and don’t make it sound like a sales pitch.
If you offered the free reports mentioned above, make sure that they opt-in to your autoresponder before they can download the reports. Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in your email messages. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that will dump the message before your potential customer can ever read it.
Practice #3 — Always focus on targeting the traffic to your website. If people visiting your site have no interest in what you’re offering, they won’t come back. Create articles for publication in article directories and ezines. This way will be targeting publications that are of interest to your target customers. What you write may just grab their attention.
Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, of at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. Not bad for a little bit of persistence and article writing.
The techniques I’ve described here are not complex. All that’s required is to plan your time wisely and then take the necessary action consistently.
