What Successful Affiliate Marketers Do, Are There Secrets?
How long has affiliate marketing been around? Forever, it seems. It hasn’t always been called affiliate marketing. Just about every kind of marketing out there uses the concepts used in affiliate marketing. It is similar to MLM in a lot of ways, but fortunately you do not have to buy a monthly product in order to collect commissions like you do with MLM
Affiliate Marketing doesn’t require you to buy large quantities each month in order to get commissions from the products you sell. One thing that the two have in common, you have to spend a lot of time working it to be successful. You must get your name and product out there to the world one way or another.
How you write your ads is one of the determining factors to your success. Quite frankly some of the ads I’ve seen from affiliate marketers are not a whole lot different than some of the National Enquirer Headlines. “Deaf and Dumb Nerd stumbles onto new way to market with PPC and made $243,972.00 in six months. I could go on, but I don’t want to insult your intelligence here.
Marketing is the key word here, and how affective you are at marketing depends on how successful you are at selling your self. Unfortunately It comes with a price. The price you pay depends on two things, your willingness to fork over big bucks for advertising by way of PPC or other using classifieds or large print articles that start at around $2,500 a month.
Affiliate Marketing and MLM share other things in common. With both you can use auto-responders, mail out post cards, Fax Blast and the list goes on.
Some forms of advertising are just a lot better and a whole lot less expensive than others. One of the things you have to ask yourself is: how affective is my advertising and how long is it going to be around. Some people will argue that a color classified going to be laying around on some table somewhere for years to come. If I am in a doctor’s office wreathing with back pain and I see your ad while begging the time to pass it is of little effect.
Now, I don’t usually come right out and tell people in an ezine or an ad what I do to get results, I am going to overcome that one law of advertising here for a moment. If you are planning on being a successful affiliate marketer, you need to get your own web site. Then you want to submit articles some where along the lines of what you see here, which will in turn create back links to your site and raise your site in the rankings. What’s more, this is a lot better than having a magazine laying around for years after you submitted your half page article.
Information overload is the number one killer of sales in affiliate marketing. I mean we are talking about the site that takes you most of 30 minutes to read and leaves you feeling like you just got done reading a big fat blank when you were done reading it. It kind of reminds me of the guys who are trying to dazzle you with brilliance and have set out to baffle you with BS in the event that the first option didn’t work out too well. You are selling something you believe in, or you are selling something that you believe your potential customer wants. Keep IT Simple.
